I draw my social security but my husband thinks I can also draw some amount from his social security, Thanks Cynthia S. Cadotte

Accountant's Assistant: Is there anything else important you think the Retirement Accountant should know?

No funds are very tight and we were just wondering if there was any way we can draw more for social security

I'm so sorry, but social Security benefits can't be "stacked," as SSA puts it.

...

If a spousal benefit or survivor benefit s higher than your OWN benefit, SSA will always take you UP TO the higher benefit, but again so sorry, we can't take one benefit and then add another to it.

...

Please let me know if you have ANY questions at all, before rating me.

If this has helped, and you DON’T have other questions … I'd appreciate a positive rating (using the stars or faces on your screen, and then clicking “submit")

I hope that you’ll rate me based on my accuracy and thoroughness, rather than any good news/bad news content.

That’s the only way JustAnswer.com will compensate me for the work here.

Thanks,

Lane
