Hi
Customer reply replied 11 months ago
Is it going to cost me $52 for you to call me.
Social Security Expert: PDtax, CPA firm owner replied 11 months ago

The site makes that offer automatically if you want a phone conference.

I can answer your question without the call.

I don't know when he originally claimed benefits, but I assume he originally claimed after full retirement age. If so, he already gets the maximum benefit available.

If he claimed before full retirement, he may be eligible for an increased benefit by applying for disability benefits. Applying allows SSA to recalculate his wage base and eliminate some low earnings years, which could increase his benefit and create a potential back benefit for prior years.

If you might be eligible, please consider hiring a social security pro to apply and pursue those additional benefits, and good luck. The pro will also be aware of expedited application criteria that could speed up the application process.

I hope this helps. Positive feedback is requested to complete your request. I'm PDtax.
