I will be 58 in July, my husband will be 64 in June. I have a lot of health issues while he does not. No benefits are being received currently. Is there anything we need to do before May 1st for our situation?

No, there is nothing at this time that can be done with regard to the new law. He is not old enough to suspend for your benefit, unfortunately, but you would be too young to collect a spousal anyway. But let me ask, are you still able to work, or are you disabled?
