Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the slider appears, then drag the slider to turn your phone off. After it has turned off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button to turn it back on.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, your iMessage settings might be set to receive messages based on your Apple ID instead rather than your phone number. To check, tap Settings, then Messages, then Send & Receive. Make sure that your phone number is ***** as the default. It should have a green check mark beside it.
