First, try using the Sign Out option.
Sign out of AOL EMail.
Then restart your cell phone.
Second, Sign In, or Log In, to your AOL email. See if, after awhile and after having checked whether your phone is connected to internet still (e.g. by viewing a web page or two), it may be receiving emails properly again.
Also try sending a test email, that you can verify (and, if it does not bounce back with a 500 error or similarly, then your AOL email is sending email at least.)
