Customer: 4 days very little troubleshooting - just basic

  1. Just press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons simultaneously for at least 20 seconds, until you see the Apple logo. You can let go of both buttons after the Apple logo appears.

No problem I am sorry for not being more clear. It is the small rectangle button. It is found most often at the top right of the device.

That makes sense iphones do have some history of earpiece related issues. They also only cover them for 1 year unless you personally bought extended warranty.
