Hi and Welcome. My Name is ***** ***** I look forward to assisting you today with your question.
Who is your email provider ?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Comcast
Expert:  Ashik replied 2 years ago.
Is this a POP account or IMAP account ? Can you call Comcast and confirm it ?
Also, have you tried deleting the account and adding it back ?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
pop/smtp
Yes, they did this in the apple store.
Expert:  Ashik replied 2 years ago.
If it is POP, then the emails will not be synced to multiple devices. If they are downloaded to your computer, then they will not download to your iPhone and vice versa. Lets try switching it to IMAP.
On your iPhone, goto Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Select your email account and delete it.
Then add the account, select Other and use the following information to add your account.
Username - your full email address
password ***** your email password
Incoming server: imap.comcast.net
Outgoing server: smtp.comcast.net
Authentication ON
Incoming Port: 993 with SSL ON
Outgoing Port: 465 with SSL ON
Please let me know if that didn't work, so we can continue troubleshooting.

Expert:  Ashik replied 2 years ago.
Delete the email account again, then add it back. This time, use this incoming server --> mail.comcast.net
Let me know how it goes.

Expert:  Ashik replied 2 years ago.
IMAP is preferred. If IMAP is not working, then use POP. Try with IMAP first.
