Happy to help! This is a very common issue with these particular tremors and it happens over time as plastic parts where. The part that is defective is either going to be this plastic slider or the combination of the plastic slider and the strings full. They work in tandem to allow the string to come out as needed
This is what the slider looks like above the spool.
The slider has the small compression spring, number 17 in the diagram, that allows it to slide back and forth with the spool to release string.
