Lower your deck to its lowest setting, then remove your deck belt from your pto clutch.

Next, look toward the rear of your deck, you will see a spring loaded J-Handle on each side. You will pull out on your J-Handles to release the rear of your deck.

Technician: Donald, Small Engine Technician replied 2 months ago

Next, slide your deck forward to release it from the rod that hooks to the front of your deck. Just lift up on the rod.

I found a video that shows this steering repair on a John Deere lawn tractor. The process is the same for your Toro.

Underneath toro is different than John deer

I do apologize, because I do not have step by step installation instructions, that are specific to your mower for installing your steering parts. Initially, I was under the impression that you just needed to know how to remove your deck.

If you like, I can opt out to give another expert an opportunity to work with you. Hopefully someone will have the information you need in order to finish installing your parts.
