I hit a stump with my snowblower and it shut down and wont start

Mechanic's Assistant: Do you have fuel in the tank? If so, is the shut-off valve open and the fuel clean?

Yes and yes it instantly shut down when I hit the stump

Mechanic's Assistant: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?

Possibly is it key that I bent like on a lawn mower ?

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else we should know to help you best?

Welcome to JUST ANSWER small engines, let me try to help you !! I don't know it all, but maybe together we can get you a satisfactory answer!

It could have sheared the flywheel to crankshaft key. But remove the spark plug and with it grounded, see if you have spark when cranking, if it has spark, put a teaspoon of fuel into the spark plug hole, re-install the spark plug and see if it starts. If it does not fire, then the valves need to be checked, then the flywheel key needs to be checked.
