Small Engine Troubleshooting Problems? Ask a Mechanic Now.
Hello, my name is ***** ***** I am going to assist you with this.
There are a couple of things that can cause this:
1. Choke may be slightly out of adjustment/slow to react.
2. Carb may be slightly out of adjustment, or may have an fuel circuit with slight blockage.
However, if it only does it 4 times, it is nothing to worry about. Some engines are just cold blooded. This is the reason a genset should be allowed to run at least 30 seconds before a load is applied - to allow the engine to settle in to it's normal rhythm.
Did I explain this well enough?
