I would to talk to a person on the phone
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: I have a 15.5 hp B&S engine that I replaced with a 17.5 hp.The wiring on the 17.5 not the same,as
on the 15.5. The 15.5 had only two wires. The 17.5. This is day 3.
JA: Can you guesstimate how old the engine is? And has it done anything like this in the past?
Customer: The 17.5 new. 15.5 3 years old.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: yes
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Not that I know.

Phone call is extra charge. But what is new engine model number? What wires are in question? Newer engine probably has a voltage regulator, where old engine had a charge diode. And new engine may have a solenoid in the carburetor.??
