Engage PTO....CLUTCH turns on

Welcome to JUST ANSWER small engines, let me try to help you !! I don't know it all, but maybe together we can get you a satisfactory answer!

Customer
Okay I know that the backside of the welded deck is rubbing on the differential... It seems that there is a piece dent that keeps the deck in line

# 46 is the tension lever, do you have it locked in the side bracket? See parts list below.

Customer
That's possible... It's the lever that's attached to the two pulleys from the PTO to the blade pulley right?
Customer
There is a spring on it. Should it have full tension?.. right now it's loose
Customer
I don't see a parts diagram
Customer
I don't even see that part

In picture or on your deck? I used a base model, what is your full model number?

Customer
Oh, it's 2013... And it. A 17bf3agv010

# 6 is the tension spring , that pulls the idler against the belt to keep it tight, Is the spring in place and pulley tight against the belt?

Customer
Spring is there , but it's loose. The edge of the connector plate ( that connects the spring and pulley) is hitting than gear box. If that plate was up a half inch, it would clear the box

plate bent ?

Customer
It has a bend in it according to the parts diagram.. it seems like the entire deck is shifted towards the rear

All mounting points in place?

Customer
Yessir. I cannot even for the deck forward so it doesn't run on the gear box
Customer
Cannot force the deck foward

#18 is the front link that holds the deck forward. Has it come loose on one side? See parts link below.
