Gas spitting from OHV tube Briggs 20L114 0895E1 when running
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: just started. First time using this season. Didnt happen last season
JA: Do you have fuel in the tank? If so, is the shut-off valve open and the fuel clean?
Customer: I couldnt find shut off valve but ran till out of gas before storing and fresh gas put in this morning
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: yes
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?

Check your engine oil level, to see if it is overfilled. Also, check to see if your oil smells like gas is mixed in with it.

Level is good but it does smell like there is gas

Thanks for your response. The gas in your oil could be causing our problem. I would change your engine oil, and refill to proper level, then try starting your engine again.

Also, remove your spark plug, then pull your rope to see if excess gas spews out of your spark plug hole.

If gas spews out, just continue pulling your rope, to rid your combustion chamber of excess gas. Do not allow your spark plug wire to come in contact with your gas, if it does spew out.
