Hello, have you made any adjustments?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Tension is correct on all belts and cable
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Can't call.
Expert:  Vince O. replied 7 months ago.

There is a brake and spring at the bottom of the auger pulley, check to see if spring is broken.

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Not near my snowblower at this time
Expert:  Vince O. replied 7 months ago.

OK, check when possible and let me know.

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
No Springs busted. Would think that would be more likely to cause auger and impeller to not spin.
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Very familiar with this machine. Checked all the obvious things.

I've already checked Springs, cables, etc.
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Thanks for trying. Trust me, I wish it was a cable, belt or spring. Better that the impeller and auger spin....then not spin especially with snow tomorrow. It's an issue that is driving me nuts. Thankfully it can still be used.

The only thing that drives the impeller and the auger is the single belt for it coming off the engine. Your belt is not losing as it should. Belt can be too short, or the cable is not letting the belt elax. Can't be any thing else! You are missing something! With unit off and engagement cable in off position, try turning the shaft, it should be free , so it is not driving. You will find it tight!

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
The impeller seems loose. I can spin it with unit off no cables engaged.
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
As if it is off balance.
My auger belt actually burned thru the cover because of the constant spinning
