Customer Question

Hi - John Deere 425 will not go in reverse. Been getting slower over the last year but now won't work at all and we have 10" of snow coming tomorrow!
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: Complete failure of reverse started last night when blowing snowl
JA: Do you have fuel in the tank? If so, is the shut-off valve open and the fuel clean?
Customer: Yes. Plenty of fuel. Did the winter maint kit including new fuel filter.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Yes
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Don't think so.

# 12 in the link below is the lever that has to move to activate forward and reverse. Go directly to the transmission lever and see if it is going into full travel in the reverse position. If it is, and it does not backup, problem is internal to the transmission.

That is very helpful. I will check that when I get out there later today. Thanks!
