Many times this problem is caused by either your valves being out of adjustment, or the compression release mechanism on your cam gear has failed. The most likely of the two possibilities is your valves being out of adjustment.

Remove your spark plug, then turn your key to start position. Let's ee if your engine spins freely. Make sure your spark plug wire is away from your spark plug hole, in case there is excess gas in your cylinder. You and I can continue from here.
