I am having problems with my TORO ZS 4200. After about an hour's musage it seems the left hand side rear wheel starts to make some grating noise aND THE MOWER WILL NOT RESOND ETO TURNS OR MOVING FORWARD. oNCE IT COOLS DOWN IT THEN WORKD FINE UNTIL IT GETS HOT AGAIN
JA: Do you have fuel in the tank? If so, is the shut-off valve open and the fuel clean?
Customer: Clean fuel in this morning and all the shut off vaslve etc are ok
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: maybe depends on the difficulty level
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: the mower moves but very slowly and will only turn left

Hi my name is ***** ***** welcome to Just Answer. It sounds like the left hand transmission is overheating. This I'd common in alot of the troy bilt and cub cadet zero turns .

First thing to check is if there I'd aNY debris or junk as in grass build up around the left side hydraulic and clean out any if there is , it can cause the pumps to overheat

The next step would be to change the oil in that side hoping no permanent damage is done from the overheating
