Ran a husqvarna leaf blower 150BT without oil for some time.

Customer Question

ran a husqvarna leaf blower 150BT without oil for some time. it's not siezed up, but wont start.
JA: Do you have fuel in the tank? If so, is the shut-off valve open and the fuel clean?
Customer: there is correct mixed flue in the tank now
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: yea
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: before i added the store-mixed fuel/oil, i added some 2cycle oil to the gas in the tank. unknown ratio. primed it through the normal starting procedure, and did get the engine to idle on its own for about 5-9 seconds. then stopped. I drained the gas oil mix, added the store bought mix. hasnt been able to idle again.

Hello welcome to just answers my name is***** try to solve this together..

You put straight gas in the unit?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
for more than one tank. My wife was using it and didn't know. SHe said it stopped running the other day. I just checked it, and it's not siezed up. Can still pull the cord and it the engine moves. And like I said initially, it did idle on its own for a few sec.

I would pull the exhaust off and check the exhaust side of the piston it might be scored or have scratches.. if its scored you need to repair by replacing the piston and cylinder.

if the piston is scratched or scored it might run for a few seconds..
