My Poulan Pro Pruner is difficult to start; but when I get

My Poulan Pro Pruner is difficult to start; but when I get it running it stalls out when I tilt it to cut.
JA: Do you have fuel in the tank? If so, is the shut-off valve open and the fuel clean?
Customer: I have fuel and it should be clean, but I'm not sure about the shut-off valve.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: If possible.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Not that I can think of at this time.

Hi my name is ***** ***** welcome to Just Answer. It sounds like the fuel lines that go in the tank may have broken off meaning the fuel filter that picks up fuel is just floating around in the tank . I would empty the fuel and take a flash light and look in the tank to see if the line is intact
