Small Engine Troubleshooting Problems? Ask a Mechanic Now.
Hi, my name is***** will be assisting you.
You can check the module by unplugging the small ground wire that goes to it and then crank the engine over to see if you have spark then. If you still do not have spark then you know that the ignition module is bad and will need to be replaced, if you do get spark then there is a problem backwards in the wiring or the switch that is keeping it from firing when everything is hooked up.
In order to get to the module you will need to remove the front housing or cover from the engine.
