Since it has been sitting for a while with no use you will most likely need to excite the windings in order to get the unit to produce voltage again.

This can be done with the use of an electric none reversible drill.

  1. Start the machine and let it run.
  2. Plug your drill into one of the outlets on the unit.
  3. Pull the trigger or switch on the drill as if you were going to use the drill.
  4. Spin the drill chuck backwards by hand a few times if necessary.

This will normally excite the windings on the genset enough that it will begin to work or produce voltage again. This is not uncommon when the machines are left sitting for a while with no use.

Thanks. I will try this method.

Let me know what happens.

I have had success doing this on numerous occasions. Sometimes it may take more than one attempt or spin of the drill chuck but it does normally work.
