I have a few early 2000 gators with the fe290d that have been breaking push rods any info on why
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: Couple years
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: I have been replacing them
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?

Pushrods break when the valves stick or the rocker arms bottom out against a valve guide that has moved in the cylinder head. The valve does not move, so the pushrod bends or breaks.
