I have a PM0435001 generator. The choke spring has rusted

Customer Question

I have a Coleman PM0435001 generator. The choke spring has rusted and I do not know if the part is still available or if I can possibly rig another manufacturers choke spring. I don't work on engines so I am limited with my capabilities.
JA: What's the make and model of the generator? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: The owners manual says the product was made in 06.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Yes, this part does not look that difficult to install
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: I dont think so.
