Hello, if you cut off the compressor does it hold the pressure? Also are you noticing any air leaks?

Good points. Will retry tonight and see what happens. There is a slight air leek around the car tire metal air gun.

Let me know what you find. If you notice that without a hose plugged in it's still not holding pressure use a rubber mallet to tap the check valve. You can see the parts diagram here for location. if it begins to hold pressure the check valve will need replacement. it's the most common failure item on these as the moisture in the tank will corrode the seat. Just let me know how things go and we can work further if needed.
