i have a 1998 g11 yamaha gas golf cart and i need to replace the rings, maybe bore and need to know whether i have to take the engine out of the cart?

It is easiest to, but would need to see engine in your machine. Can you get to the heads and remove them easily? If so, you can replace the rings and bore cylinder if needed. Just make sure you have enough room to work in. I would suggest pulling the engine, but its a preference if not a must.
