I have 1994 club car golf cart that has no spark. When you disconnect black ground wire from coil it cranks and runs good but will not shut off when you let off the pedal nor cut off switch . Can you help ?
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: 2 days of checking micro switched etc.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: yes
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: I have worked on carts before but this one has got me stumpe.

IF you can start the machine by unplugging/removing the ground wire from the coil, the coil is bad. The coil is grounding itself out internally and will not start with wire connected. By doing this of course there is no way to turn engine off unless you disconnect the wire or choke out. Replace the coil and you will be back to proper running order
