Customer Question

Ariens Zoom 1740. Two fuel tanks, but due a leak in one have been using only one.
Problem: with full tank the mower tons fine, but when fuel level drops about 2" it hesitates and stops. I fill the tank again, and all is fine.
Have new filter and pump, and have a well ventilated tank cap
Wonder if there could be an issue with the line in the tank...maybe something broken off inside that would pull fuel from the bottom?

Parts picture above is unclear as to where the fuel comes out of the tank, but appears to come out the side ,near the top, that means there is a suction line on the inside ofthe tank. Likely this hose is broken. You are not using the on tank, see if you can screw out the fitting in the tank on that side and see if it doesn't have an internal hose that goes to bottom of the tank. If it does, you can then swap the fittings or repair the other sied.
