Customer Question

For some reason when I replace the filament on the spool ,it breaks off when I hit a rock for example and then I find the filament heat fuses with the remaining filament on the spool. I do use only the recommended type filament from my shindaiwa dealer.

Hello, there's a few things you can do to prevent the heat wfusing of the line.

1. Keep the line long (Bemping often to keep more line out means less heat tranfer in it)

2. Vary speed when cuting along side objects (again to manage heat transfer from hitting solid objects)

3 Spool the line a little lose

The heat fusing seams to be more common in round filimant you may want to go to a hex or octagon cutting filament, it really does perform better.
