Does it only do this when blades are engaged?
What engine is on this machine?
Kohler, Kawasaki, B&S.
Sounds like the valves need adjusting if it only runs rough under a load.
This engine should be a twin cylinder engine so you are going to have 2 sets of valves. Will need engine info to determine Valve clearance GAP. You will need feeler gauges, sockets, ratchet, wrench, and possibly a torx or allen set. If you have all this I will type out instructions or find a video of valves being set properly and send to you
Okay. Do you have the owners manual to this machine, or do you need the valve clearance?
Are there any numbers on your engine to identify. I need to OPT OUT as I am not certified to repair Kubota engines, but can look the info up for you through my dealer
Let me see if can help. With twin engine, I always start with a cylinder balance test. Loosen the spark plug wires, and with engine idling, remove one wire at a time. Engine should continue to run. If engine dies when either wire is removed, the opposite cylinder is not firing. This engine is built by Kohler for Kubota. it has hydraulic lifters, so there is no valve adjustment. If you do have a cylinder that is dead, check it for spark. With kohler, the ignition coil/module is likey bad.
I se question is still open, did you find problem?
