Have a 345 with 18 horse power. 300 hours. After 5 minutes

Customer Question

Have a 345 with 18 horse power. 300 hours. After 5 minutes of mowing tractor starts to sputter and quits. If I put choke on I can return to the. Garage. After it cools it will run fine for about 5 more minutes. Any ideas?

could be something as simple as carb. Once the pressure builds up, some thing is clogging a jet and not allowing it to run properly. This would be why you can choke it and it run longer. It could also be coil going out, but I would attempt a carb clean first
