If it will crank by jumping the solenoid, you will need to replace the solenoid.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok i will check that
Expert:  JON replied 1 year ago.

let me know how it goes. I am here to help

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
there is just 2 wires to the solenoid the large positive from the bat and 1 small other one. Im assuming the small one should have 12 volts when engaging the key.
Expert:  JON replied 1 year ago.

you should have a big wire from battery to solenoid, and a big wire from solenoid to starter. small wire will not be needed to jump it

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Only 2 wires. Like a Chevy starter the solenoid is on the starter
Expert:  JON replied 1 year ago.

ah okay, no problem. touch the red wires together on it

Expert:  JON replied 1 year ago.

or i should say connect the metal parts to jump it.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It will crank jumping those.
Expert:  JON replied 1 year ago.

then your starter solenoid is bad. you can start it like this until you get another without damage, but a new one will be needed to start with key

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Shouldn't it start though? No spark
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I can't sit on it so maybe the seat safety switch
Expert:  JON replied 1 year ago.
When you jump the solenoid make sure key is turned on and the brake is locked down.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Seat safety switch no big deal runs great. Can I get my 13 bucks back?
