Generator runs great but lately it refuses to produce any

Customer Question

Generator runs great but lately it refuses to produce any current?
JA: What's the make and model of the generator? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Generator Model 030247 Purchased at Lowes Early o7
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Yes. I have tried feild flashing and also I have checked the switch
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Reset switches seem to be ok when I send an om current through them. This unit has not been used for about a year. I have started the motor more often than that. Replaced the battery last summer.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Small Engine Technician about your situation and then connect you two.

If flashing the field did not work, you most likely have a bad voltage regulator.
