Hello, a quick test you can do to determine if it's the fuel being cut is to spray some starting fluid in the air filter. If it starts it's most likely the solenoid, if not it's going to be an ignition issue. LEt me knowwhat you find and we can work further if needed.

What I'd recommend is replacing the whole carburetor unit since they are very inexpensive. I'll post a link to it here
