I have a problem with my sears garage opener model

i have a problem with my sears garage opener model #13953985D it well open good but when i try to close it when it hits the floor it auto back up installed two senors they are in the right place they both light up please help do i need to adjust the travel or force

I would start with adjusting the travel first. If the door is trying to close past the ground level it will cause the force sensor to back it up.

If it still reverses then I would adjust the force.

Turn the down limit adjustment clockwise. One turn is about 2" of travel. Start with one turn and see if it stops before closed. If it does, turn the screw counterclockwise a small amount and check again.
