Customer Question

My lawn tractor ran out of gas while mowing. After refueling, it starts hard and the engine will not accelerate to running speed, it will only idle for a short time.
I've cleaned the carburetor with no change. Since the mower was engaged, could the engine timing have been disrupted?

No, will not be timing. When you run out of gas, you suck all the trash into the system. Is tank line clear, blow back into he tank. Have you changed the fuel filter? Do you have good gas flow to the carburetor?
