My 52" velke with a FH 580 V 19 HP Kawasaki engine starts up

Customer Question

my 52" velke with a FH 580 V 19 HP Kawasaki engine starts up runs great for about 20 min. Then starts to shut down. If I disengage the blades the engine will stay running with up and down idling then plains out. If I keep the blades engaged its shuts down completely. Wait 5-10 min. And runs good only for couple min.

Engine has electric solenoid in the base of the carburetor. It has to have 12 volts, to stay open. It plugs the main jet when it closes. It may be loosing voltage or it may be getting overheated and shutting down. When you disengage the blades, the voltage load is less and the voltage likley goes up.

Did you see my response? Did you check the solenoid?
