I have a Onan hgjab gas 5.5 kW generator. I overloaded it

Customer Question

I have a Onan hgjab gas 5.5 kW generator. I overloaded it and it dropped of line but continued to run. All circuit breakers remained set. In the start run button on the unit it shows a red light although this may be normal. I have a Furion power switch over and it accepts shore power but not generator power. Generator control issues maybe?

If the genset is running, it is producing power.

You may have tripped a circuit breaker on the genset, or your transfer switch is bad.
