I have a Craftsman lawn tractor. One of the Belt pulleys

Customer Question

I have a Craftsman lawn tractor. One of the Belt pulleys broke and I have ordered the parts I need to replace it. What I need is to be able to get it apart. This pulley when it spins one of the blades spins with it. So the pulley has a Flange nut on it so I blocked the blade from spinning but I still cannot get the flange nut to come off. Any ideas. Hi, my name is***** will be assisting you.

Try holding the pulley itself. The ID of the pulley has a spline where it fits onto the shaft, if you can grip and hold the pulley as well as block the blade you should be able to remove the nut on top.

Thank you it has been a pleasure to assist you.
