JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: just started today
JA: Do you have fuel in the tank? If so, is the shut-off valve open and the fuel clean?
Customer: yes engine and mower runs fine. but I go to engage the blades they do not engage and the mower starts to die.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: yes cant wait 4 to 6 weeks for repair
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: cleaned all debris around pulleys and was able to turn belt with hand

If you turn on the keyswitch, do not start!, and then turn on the pto , do you hear the pto clutch click the magnet?

No, but this does cause the engine to bog down and stop

Does the deck and blades turn freely with everything off? If not, take the drive belt off, and see if the deck is tight, or the electric clutch is frozen?
