Is idler spring inpace that tensions the belt? If belt is not good and tight, it will let belt slip and your drive would be affected.

Is the belt tight enough that it does not slip on the pulleys? The belt is the only common part that drives the left and right transmissions. Belt was same size as old belt, not too long?
