Customer Question

Im looking at a new John Deer D 155 with Briggs&Stratton M44 extended Life engine. Durability is my main concern. Do you think there is any benefit to using a full synthetic oil such as Mobil 1. Thanks for your help.

Hello John. Thank you for choosing Just Answer. My name is***** will be happy to assist you. Briggs & Stratton engines are designed to run effectively on both Conventional, and Synthetic Oils. However, there are benefits to using a synthetic oil. Synthetic oil does helps reduce the risk of equipment failure and can extend the service life of your engine. Synthetic Oil has the following benefits:Better wear controlBetter viscosityBetter low temperature fluidityBetter deposit controlSynthetic oil does cost more, but the benefits, over time, compensates for the additional cost. Keep in mind, that you will still need to do oil changes, at normal intervals.
