The inlet is a pressed in part and if it leaks, needs to be replaced with a new fitting. It does not tighten up!
What was the original problem.
Is gas getting to the carburetor? If you loosen the fule bowl is there gas present? The needle valve passage is where fule comes through. Was it an all metal needle or a rubber tipped needle?
I guess there is gas or the fuel would not leak!
Type of needle?
I thought you cleaned the carburetor parts.??
Did you remove the float and needle valve?
It is the inside of the carburetor that needs to be cleaned, here is a basic link showing disassembly.
With it already having external leak, that might be the best way to go.
To get right carb you will need the long model number of the engine. Example(###) ###-####B1
Get me the correct model number and I can.
Can you find model number? Intex 206 is series, not exact model.
Should have a tag on the engine, or stamped into the metal of the engine, near spark plug.
What is horse power? I can make a guess. Log splitter?
Look like this?
696981 Briggs and Stratton was original number, but shows to be superseded.
Please accept to close!
Close, but not what I need. Family number does not help. Look on same tag or near it, for Model number. It will be example (###) ###-####E1 , six numbers, followed by four numbers and a letter number. The first six numbers can have a letter , like 23A456.
Did the carburetor I looked up ,seem to be right?
That is the MTD model number for the log splitter assembly. Has everything but the engine numbers!
What I need is the numbers off the engine. It will be on the tag where you got the first set of numbers!
