Many times this problem occurs when you have either a faulty seat safety switch, or if the wiring connector that connects to your seat safety switch is faulty. Also, if there is a loose connection between your seat safety switch, and your wiring connector, this problem can occur.
Removing the wiring connector from your seat safety switch. Clean and lightly lubricate your wiring connector, then firmly reconnect it to your seat safety switch. Start your engine, and try engaging again. Let's see what happens.
