I have a JD L130, 48" lawn tractor. The free wheeling lever

Customer Question

I have a JD L130, 48" lawn tractor. The free wheeling lever came off in my hand. I tried to "feel" it back into place but it's not working. As of now the trans is in "neutral" but I can't get it into gear unless I can get this free wheeling lever back into place. This happened once before and I "felt" my way back into a slot, but it didn't click into place, it just seemed to lay there. Any guidance would be appreciated. --John

Take the right rear wheel off, then you can look around the wheel and axle to see the connection. A mirror helps.
