There is a support beam that lies exactly where I need to

Customer Question

There is a support beam that lies exactly where I need to mount my Chamberlain HD 220, 1/2 hp Chain Drive opener. The exisiting rail length is 10'4" and will need to be shortened to 9'. I have now shortened the rail by 10" to make it the correct length. My question is how much chain and cable will I need to trim in order for my opener to operate correctly.
Thank you
