I have a Generac Guardian Series 5884 14,000 Watt Air Cooled Liquid Propane/Natural Gas Powered Standby Generator.

Customer: I have a Generac Guardian Series 5884 14,000 Watt Air Cooled Liquid Propane/Natural Gas Powered Standby Generator. Recently I noticed it didn't do it weekly self check and the screen was showing the start of the "Set Date" menu. I unhooked the battery to see if it would reset. It start the install wizard but gets hung up in the same date set spot each time. It won't turn on in either the manual or auto settings.

If the unit will not allow you to set the date and time, the controller is bad and will need to be replaced.
