Have a walk behind 5260 with electric starter. Basin process

Customer Question

Have a walk behind 5260 with electric starter. Basin process of stArting after running for 15 minutesor so and turned offto adjust snow blade. When restarting cranked fine butstalled outand turned key before engine had stopped completely and now when I turn key i just get single clickingnoise. Read in manual warning thatthis could cause an alignment issue for starter. What's your prognosis?

Hi, my name is***** will be assisting you.

Try turning the flywheel backwards on it. It sounds like the starter may just be hung and not able to spin like it should in order to crank the engine. This would cause it to just click when trying to restart.

Q&A is flywheel behind cover
Expert:  JohnF2015 replied 1 year ago.

Yes, but you shouldn't have to remove anything in order to turn it. You should be able to turn it from the outside without any problem.
