Customer Question

I have a dh220. I have replaced the transmission belt and it is fine but engine will not start and I suspect a safety switch problem. Can I isolate the switch causing the problem or override th system to get mower started

Hello Tony. Thank you for choosing Just Answer. My name is***** will be happy to assist you. What brand is your mower? Do you hear the click each time you try to start your engine?

Did you have this problem prior to replacing your belt? These are troubleshooting questions.

I looked up your mower. Listen closely to hear if the clicking sound, is coming from your starter solenoid. If so, use a screwdriver to jump across the two large post on your solenoid, to see if your engine will spin. We can continue from here. Thanks!

No problem Tony. I do apologize for you dissatisfaction. Due to the fact I cannot hear or see your mower, I must ask troubleshooting questions, in order to get a better picture of what is causing the click, and preventing your engine from starting. I truly hope all goes well for you, and you get your mower started soon. Have a great day!
