I'm greg. cratsman snow thrower threw a rod through the block. I need a replacement engine. original engine was Tecumseh model LH195SP. Can't find a Tecumseh . Anyone else make an exact replacement?

Hi did you find a replacement engine for your snowblower ? It looks like the shaft on yours is 7/8 in diameter . There are briggs engines with 7/8 shafts that would work

Sorry I took so long to answer. I understood your answer would come via email. The snow thrower is a Craftsman 5.5 HP Model # ***** The Model number on the chassis tag is 31AS6BCE799, followed by 247.88355.
The engine numbers are for a Tecumseh: Model #LH195SP, SPEC# ***** DOM# ***** Eng Family 6TPXS.1951BF, DISP 195cc.

Have you removed the belt cover ? Just trying to get a measurement of the shaft length from the engine pan to the end of the shaft , this will give us shaft length

The shaft sticks out of the engine 2 7/8" (Two and seven eights inches). The shaft is 7/8" in diameter (seven eights inch)
